“The environmental credentials built into our solution were a big part of our choice because we are always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Once we heard about the Print Ecology devices we knew that was our way forward.
These machines seem pretty solid and are clearly built to last. A lot of the parts have been engineered to last a lifetime which is also attractive – both from an environmental and a financial perspective.
DigitalTeam’s high level of professionalism across the board is very impressive. Each time we deal with them it’s apparent – and a much higher level than we’ve experienced with other suppliers. They are extremely knowledgeable and always resolve any problems quickly.”
– David Oakes, IT Manager, LCF Law
As is typical of so many organisations, the print provision at LCF Law had grown and expanded over time. They were averaging 180,000 prints per month via a complex and piecemeal provision of 53 devices from various different suppliers, including a mix of desktops from different manufacturers and a complex series of admin processes to manage stock, invoices and maintenance. It was time for a change and also time for a more environmentally friendly approach.
DigitalTeam created a tailored solution based on LCF Law’s six objectives :
- Cost reduction (through refreshed fleet)
- Improved efficiency
- Reduced admin
- Reduced toner stockholding
- Networked scanning
As a law firm, one of the key requirements for LCF Law was to be able to log and recharge prints and copies made for individual clients. With an average output of 180,000 prints per month, DigitalTeam proposed a flexible total volume solution using a selection of DigitalTeam Print Ecology devices. These ticked all the boxes for LCF Law and provided the quality and speed required. New software was also installed, enabling secure “Follow You” printing plus the option to log prints and copies by individual client.
The changeover from old to new was orchestrated by a DigitalTeam Project Manager. The entire fleet of old devices were removed and the new devices installed over a three day period, each positioned for easy access by specific workgroups. User training was also provided at each office. Having had the chance to let their new fleet ‘bed in’ the management team at LCF Law is delighted with the improvements and expect to achieve all their original objectives.
